Spring at Battersea Park Childrens Zoo

Battersea Park Childrens Zoo

Now that Spring is here why not take your class to visit Battersea Park Children’s Zoo?  Situated in leafy Battersea Park by a picturesque riverside walk it is a little known gem in the heart of London.  Once threatened with closure the zoo is now privately run and many improvements have been made. The enclosures were modified so that children can get an excellent close up view of the animals, which include: Monkeys, Otters, Lemurs, a Mouse House, a variety of birds and many farmyard favourites.

Children (and some teachers!) particularly enjoy going down the Meerkat Tunnel, a pair of tunnels which go down into the enclosure and bring you up in a plastic bubble alongside the busy Meerkats!

If you choose to book a guided visit, your guide will take you on a tour of the zoo, providing you with additional factual information on the animals as well as letting you in on any funny stories about what they like to get up to! There is a gift shop and a play area, which make the zoo both a fun and educational place to visit!

Entrance fee for school groups:  £4.89 Children (2-15 yrs)
1 adult goes free for every 5 paying children. £6.36 Additional adults.
