Educational Visits UK

ISSUE 2 | JUNE 2009

This term has seen two successful school trips take place…

School Trips UK

The teachers and KS3 students from Southlands International School in Rome came over to spend a week in Cornwall. They enjoyed the tranquillity of staying on an Organic farm and with a jam packed itinerary full of fun there was certainly lots to write home about. Sculpture Workshops at the Tate Modern in St Ives and a geology walk to the stunning Durdle Door were tastefully combined with Cornish pasties and cream teas! An evening production of Evita in the breathtaking setting of the Minack theatre was enjoyed by all.

Teachers and KS2 students from Haresfoot School travelled to the New Forest in Hampshire where some of the students had an energetic few days at a local activity centre. Kayaking, tree climbing, archery and zip wires were some of the many activities keeping the children entertained. Others enjoyed visits to local attractions such as Beaulieu Motor Museum and a day of pond dipping and orienteering with rangers at a country park.

The huge smiles on the children’s faces say it all. Education should be fun and we strive to be the best at making sure your trip is inspiring, rich in learning and memorable for years to come.
